The Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet over the edge of the Grand Canyon and is suspended 4,000 feet above the canyon floor. It was built using a combination of steel and reinforced concrete, and the glass floor is made of a special type of tempered glass that can support the weight of dozens of people at a time.
The Skywalk was designed to withstand winds of up to 100 miles per hour, and it was built to be able to withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters and was built with the help of a team of engineers and construction workers, who had to contend with the challenging conditions of the Grand Canyon, including high winds and extreme temperatures.
